Here’s a quick little video showing the recent dark room build headed up by Chris Parks at Quilter Labs. This darkroom is essentially the new home of our Optical Disc Lab, and the birthing place of Optigan / Orchestron / Talentmaker / Panoptigon discs going forward. This is the final major installation for this project. The next step is to get all the equipment up and running, and do some R&D work as we fine tune the process of making these discs ourselves.
Robert Becker says:
Video of new darkroom. Next task: Reduce light leaks. Notes: The new safety lighting will be green since I’m using red-sensitive film. I still need to buy chemicals and film. Then I need to set up the film processor and do lots of testing. I’ve requested help from a person that used to do the darkroom work for our Optigan discs before 2019. They are trying to find time in their schedule to come by and do some consulting work.
Thanks again to all the generous donors who have helped us get this far with this crazy project! 🙂
Music: instrumental of “Patio” by Optiganally Yours, played on iOptigan with the “Bossa Nova Style” disc.
