Hi All! Below is a message from Robert Becker, creator of the Panoptigon. A reminder from me (Pea Hicks): if you’d like to support optigan.com and my efforts generally, buying a Panoptigon from optigan.com is the only way I get a cut of the hardware sales. The discs themselves remain available only from the Quilter website. I normally make a royalty from disc sales, but for the foreseeable future, all of my disc royalties are being used to help defray the cost of the Optical Disc Lab that Robert has put significant funds and resources into building. Thanks for your consideration!

Dear Optigan, Orchestron, and Panoptigon Enthusiasts,
We hope this message finds you well. It’s been an incredible journey since we first introduced the Panoptigon at the 2019 Winter NAMM tradeshow. For those of you who may not be familiar, the Panoptigon is a unique, MIDI-controlled musical instrument that brings back the iconic sounds of Optigan and Orchestron discs, along with exclusive Panoptigon discs that offer expanded capabilities.
As we approach the end of the production run for the current version of the Panoptigon (Gen 1), we wanted to let you know that there are only eight remaining units available for sale. Once these are gone, they’re gone for good! If you’ve ever considered adding this boutique instrument to your collection, now is the time.
Key Features of the Panoptigon:
- MIDI controlled: Works seamlessly with any 61-note MIDI keyboard or synthesizer (not included).
- Optical sound technology: Plays Optigan, Orchestron, and exclusive Panoptigon discs with up to 60 tracks per disc.
- Compact & portable: About the size of a DJ turntable, easy to integrate into any studio setup.
- Hand-assembled: Crafted with high-quality parts, making it a must-have for serious studio owners, musicians, and composers.
Pea Hicks and I have thoroughly enjoyed making and selling Panoptigons and discs for the Optigan, Orchestron, and Panoptigon. While the Gen 1 Panoptigon is reaching its end-of-life, we will continue to produce and sell discs for all three formats for the foreseeable future.
We are also considering a future version of the Panoptigon, but that is still in the research phase and would require time and approval from Quilter Labs. So, if you’ve been on the fence, this may be your last opportunity to own a Panoptigon for quite some time.
To secure one of the last remaining units, visit the optigan.com or the Quilter Labs website before they’re all gone!
Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and we look forward to continuing to create new and exciting content for the optical disc music community.
Warm regards,
Robert Becker
